A “Radio Day” Playlist

Tomorrow is National Radio Day which, of course, “recognizes the great invention of the radio.” So to commemorate here’s a playlist of radio-centric and radio-adjacent songs. Aside from the Clash classic I tried to steer clear of overly obvious inclusions, even at the expense of some undeniable bangers. The assembled tracks vary in their respective levels of thematic engagement with the medium of radio, and a couple are loose fits that just have one or two mentions of “radio” in the lyrics but they’re songs I like so I decided to throw them in (and one is more of a deep cut inclusion for the real heads).
